After leading the First Academy Leesburg football program through several competitive seasons, Head Coach Canh Bui announced that he is stepping down to focus on his family and his career outside of coaching.

In a message shared with the school community, Canh expressed deep gratitude for his time with the Eagles and the relationships built along the way.

“After much thought and prayerful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my position as Head Football Coach at The First Academy Leesburg,” Canh says. “I am deeply thankful to FA for the opportunity to lead this program and for the trust and support I’ve received along the way. Watching you grow not just as athletes, but as young men of faith and integrity, has been one of the greatest rewards of my life.”

Canh guided the team through several strong seasons, helping establish a competitive culture within the program. However, recent years brought challenges, including the transition from 11-man football to the 8-man division.

“Thank you again for allowing me to be part of the FAmily,” he says. “I will always be cheering for you, both on and off the field.”

The school has not yet announced who will take over as head coach for the upcoming season.
