First Generation Beta Baby Born in Central Florida Welcomes 2025 in Tavares
As the world counted down to 2025, a family in Tavares celebrated a once-in-a-lifetime moment. At exactly midnight, Travis Michael Morgan made his grand entrance at AdventHealth Waterman, becoming Central Florida’s first baby of the new year and the first member of Generation Beta born in the region.
For parents Ashley and Allen Morgan of Leesburg, Travis’s birth was nothing short of extraordinary. Originally expected on January 11, Travis had other plans. They had originally gone in for a C-section because he’s was breeched, but after one more ultrasound, Travis was in the correct position and ready to go.
Weighing 7 pounds, 9 ounces, Travis made his debut with perfect timing. When the nurse checked the time, it was exactly midnight on the dot.
Travis is not only the first baby of the new year but also the first of a new generation. Generation Beta is defined as those born between 2025 and 2039. Growing up in an era of technological innovation and global change, Generation Beta will inherit a world vastly different from those before it.
