Former East Ridge High Softball Star Delacia DeLeslin Making an Impact at FAMU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former East Ridge High School standout Delacia DeLeslin has continued her rise as a collegiate softball player, now in her sophomore season as an outfielder for Florida A&M University (FAMU).
DeLeslin, who graduated from East Ridge in 2023, made an immediate impact as a freshman with the Rattlers. She appeared in 29 games, starting 15, and put up impressive numbers at the plate—hitting .407 (22-for-54) with nine RBIs and eight runs scored. Her ability to get on base was crucial, posting a .448 on-base percentage to go along with a .481 slugging percentage. DeLeslin recorded six two-hit games and had back-to-back two-RBI performances against Mississippi Valley on March 15 and 16.

Her early success at the collegiate level comes as no surprise to those who followed her high school career. During her time at East Ridge, DeLeslin showcased elite contact hitting, striking out just 11 times over 204 plate appearances. She collected 57 hits, 48 RBIs, and 46 runs scored, finishing with a career .318 batting average.
Now in her second season at FAMU, DeLeslin is continuing to develop into a key player. Through six games this season, she has recorded three hits, three RBIs, and three runs scored. As she gains more experience at the collegiate level, her presence in the lineup will be one to watch for the Rattlers as they look to build on their success.
We love seeing her success! Way to go Delacia!
