Genesis Health Club Celebrates Grand Opening in Spanish Springs
The Villages Cheerleaders shook their pom-poms and welcomed new and existing members to the Genesis Health Club ribbon cutting in Spanish Springs on Friday. Located in the former Rialto Theatre, this newest Genesis location attracted dozens of members eager for a workout, while around 200 others enjoyed healthy snacks, hand-made smoothies, massages, and karaoke by Alan Ross. This is Genesis’ second location in The Villages, with the other club in Brownwood.
Villages resident Linda Smith attended to work out and enjoy the festivities.
“I’m just looking forward to the convenience,” Linda says. “I live right around the corner from this one and can practically walk here.”
Genesis personal trainer Tania Bonferraro, who usually works at the Brownwood location, is excited to see another space for members to stay active.
“It’s great to have another facility available because no matter what part of The Villages you’re in, you’re close to an amazing, beautiful gym,” she says.
The new facility features two open floors with a wide variety of machines and functional equipment, three class studios, and a vibrant spin studio with neon lights and new bikes.
“It’s nice that you can try different classes,” Tania added. “With instructors and machines available, you get a well-rounded experience while having fun.”
Many staff members were on hand for the celebration, offering a friendly and welcoming experience.
Tammy Dunseath, club manager, joined the cheerleaders and staff to cut the ribbon. She says she is always impressed by the Villagers’ boundless energy.
“Movement is magic,” Tammy says. “They bring it every day, and we appreciate our existing members while looking forward to meeting new ones as well.”
You don’t have to live in The Villages to join! Spa, classes, sauna, locker rooms, personal training, and a smoothie bar are available. Hours vary by location.
