Hokkaido Ramen & Sushi Bar has officially opened its doors in Mount Dora. Following successful soft opening that surpassed expectations, today marks the grand opening of one of the few places in Lake County to offer traditional ramen and sushi. Many local officials came out to show their support for the new restaurant.

Owned by Joy Yan and her husband, Jay Chen, this marks the couple’s fourth restaurant. They also own Ichiban Buffet in Leesburg, Japan Express in Tavares, Kawachi Sushi & Bar in Leesburg and now Hokkaido.

“We are so happy to have everyone out here,” Yan says. “We are very excited to bring ramen to Lake County.”

The restaurants boasts more than 10 types of ramen, ranging from mild to spicy in flavor, like the spicy beef ramen, chicken rich ramen and the tonkotsu shoyu ramen. They even have a gluten-free and vegan option.

They also have a full menu of appetizers, desserts, poke bowls and sushi rolls.

Be sure to check it out and support this local business! Hokkaido is located at 17280 US Hwy 441 in Mount Dora. They are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
