Lady Lake Gears Up for “The Big Bang” Fireworks Celebration

The Town of Lady Lake is thrilled to invite residents and visitors to “The Big Bang,” the community’s Independence Day celebration, taking place at the Guava Street Athletic Complex on Saturday, June 28, at 6 p.m., with a fireworks spectacular set to light up the sky at 9:15 p.m.

This free, family-friendly event promises an evening full of excitement, entertainment and patriotic fun.

Highlights of The Big Bang include:

  • Live Music — Dance the night away with high-energy performances by The Audio Exchange Band.

  • Watermelon Eating Contests — Fun for all ages with separate contests for kids and adults.

  • Arts & Crafts Table — Get creative with hands-on activities for the whole family.

  • Food Trucks & Vendors — Satisfy your cravings with a wide variety of delicious options.

  • Mechanical Bull Ride — Free and open to all thrill-seekers, courtesy of Millers & Sons Plumbing.

  • Kid Zone — Packed with fun including bounce houses, slides and a foam party, sponsored by the Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club of Lady Lake.

To make your evening even easier, skip the parking hassle and take advantage of the free shuttle service, proudly sponsored by Lamers Transportation. Shuttles will run continuously from 6 to 10:30 p.m. between the Rolling Acres Sports Complex and the event site on Guava Street.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.

For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.

Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
