Lake County Fair Returns Friday for 105th Year

The Lake County Fair opens Friday, April 10, bringing 10 days of rides, livestock shows and long-standing traditions to Eustis, participants and residents from Lake County and beyond.

Running through April 19, the fair blends generations of history with a packed schedule of attractions, from the hum of the midway to the early-morning bustle inside the livestock barns.

Agriculture remains at the heart of the fair, with local 4-H and FFA students showcasing months of work through competitions featuring cattle, swine, goats and poultry. For many families, it’s the main event; a chance to not only experience a spring tradition but an opportunity to rally behind the next generation of farmers and ag leaders.

Out on the midway, the energy shifts. Bright lights, classic carnival rides and games fill the grounds, alongside the kind of indulgent fair food people wait all year for, including things like funnel cakes, fried Oreos, hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy and many other sugary, decadent treats.

Entertainment also runs throughout the event, with live shows, contests and returning crowd-pleasers like pig races keeping the schedule full. Inside the exhibit halls, entries in baking, art, photography and crafts highlight local talent from across the county.

Now in its 105th year, the fair continues to serve as both a celebration of Lake County’s agricultural roots and a spring tradition that brings the community together year after year.

Weekday gates open at 5pm, with earlier start times on weekends, giving visitors plenty of chances to make a night, or a full day, of it.
