The Night of Stars shined bright as Lake County Schools honored outstanding educators, employees, volunteers, and community partners at a special celebration recognizing their dedication and contributions to student success.

The evening’s top honor went to Taylor Emanuel-Caspary of Aurelia M. Cole Academy, who was named 2026 Rookie Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Caspary has already made a lasting impact in her first year, bringing passion, innovation, and unwavering dedication to her students and school community.

In addition to celebrating Mrs. Caspary’s achievement, the event recognized several other distinguished individuals and partners:

  • Lake County Schools Hall of Fame Inductees: Fred Griffin Jr. and James Simpson
  • School-Related Employee of the Year: Jessica Hopperton
  • Business Partner of the Year: Lake County Sheriff’s Office
  • Scott A. Strong Volunteer of the Year: Mike DeGraw

These honorees have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to education, student support, and community involvement, reinforcing the strong partnerships that help shape the future of Lake County Schools.

The Night of Stars was made possible thanks to the generous support of Insight Credit Union, the event’s presenting sponsor, along with many other community partners who continue to invest in the success of Lake County students and educators.
