TAVARES, Fla. – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is honoring Cynthia Williams for her 30-year career of dedication and service. Williams, who began her journey with the agency in October 1994, has made an indelible impact across several roles during her tenure.

Starting as a Dispatcher in the Communications Center, Williams has also served as a Civil Clerk in the Civil Department, Acting Human Resources Director, and is currently a Human Resources Assistant. Additionally, she fulfills a critical role as the agency’s Florida Retirement System (FRS) Retirement Coordinator, supporting employees in planning for their futures.

Williams’ commitment to professional growth is evident in her numerous academic achievements. She holds a Certificate in Human Resources Management and a Florida General Instructor Certification through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Her academic credentials include an Associate in Arts (AA), an Associate in General Studies (AGS), and an Associate in Science in Business Administration (AS.BA), all from Columbia College. She is currently working toward a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Williams finds joy in her family life, particularly in spending time with her five grandchildren, whom she loves to spoil. She also prioritizes regular exercise to maintain her health and stay motivated.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office celebrated her years of service. Sheriff  Payton Grinnell gave her a comemorative watch for her years of service. We are thankful for her service and her continued work that she puts in every day. Thank you Cynthia.
