MINNEOLA, Fla. — Lake Minneola High School standout pitcher Brady Montrowl has signed his commitment to play baseball for the University of Central Florida, adding a strong arm to the Knights’ future roster. The left-handed pitcher who stands 6’5″ 180 lbs. is known for his precision and power on the mound. Brady put up impressive numbers in his junior season, catching the attention of UCF scouts and making him one of the top recruits in Central Florida not only for athletics but for his academics.

Montrowl has a 4.0 Unweighted GPA. He is in the National Honor Society and also takes AP Classes. He’s exactly what you would come to expect out of a student-athlete and we are very excited about what he will be able to accomplish at the NCAA Division 1 level.

Montrowl’s stats from last season speak volumes about his control and dominance. He pitched 25 innings, allowed only 11 hits, and gave up just 9 runs. His ability to rack up strikeouts was evident, as he struck out 44 batters, showcasing an impressive strikeout-to-inning ratio. Known for his work ethic and commitment to the game, Montrowl’s poise on the mound and ability to deliver in high-pressure situations have made him a leader for the Hawks.

If you have not seen Brady play, he is the kind of pitcher who can control the game and energize the team. This kid has so much potential. In fact this summer he was incredible with his travel baseball team Power Baseball out of Orlando. UCF is getting a truly special player. Last season Lake Minneola finished 21-6. A big reason for that success was Brady.

Montrowl’s decision to commit to UCF gives the Knights a promising talent who has already shown he can deliver at a high level. He’s impressing not only at the High School level but during travel ball season as well where Brady plays some of the toughest competition and has excelled. As he prepares for his senior season with the Hawks, Montrowl is expected to bring even more intensity, working towards leading his team deeper into the playoffs. Last year Lake Minneola was upset by Viera in the opening round of the FHSAA Class 6A playoffs.

Congratulations to Brady Montrowl, his family, coaches, friends and everyone who has had an impact on getting him to this point. We are excited to see what he brings to the table for his senior year.
