Lake Minneola High Volleyball Sophomore Camila Antonsanti-Soto Off To Impressive Start
LAKE MINNEOLA, Fla. — Lake Minneola High School’s volleyball team is off to a flying start this season, thanks in large part to the standout performance of sophomore Camila Antosanti-Soto. Through the first three matches, Antosanti-Soto has established herself as a key player, propelling the team to an undefeated 3-0 record.
The young outside hitter has delivered an impressive 19 kill shots, a team-high, demonstrating her ability to finish plays with authority. In addition to her offensive firepower, she has also recorded four aces, making her the team leader in that category. Her serves have been nearly flawless, boasting a 93% success rate. Overall it’s been a great start to the year for the Hawks.
Antosanti-Soto’s all-around game has also been on display defensively, where she has contributed 11 digs. That’s allowed fellow teammates to go to work as well such as junior Bailey O’Dell and Macy Carr along with seniors Rylee Townsend and Alissa Grant who have also had an impact.
Senior Brooke Larson, a seasoned setter, has been instrumental in orchestrating the offense. Larson has racked up 63 assists for her team. Like any good offense, there is a backbone to it that makes it strong. Larson plays a key role.
Lake Minneola’s early success is a testament to their coaching staff including head coach Omar Soto and assistant coach Cecilia Vargas. Lake Minneola should be a force this season. With Antosanti-Soto and Larson leading the charge this team seems to be coming together nicely in the early weeks of the season.
