Who should be Lake County’s girls basketball coach of the year? The nominations are below. Choose your favorite and why they are most deserving. We have given a short list of their accomplishments this season below. The winner will be announced in a few weeks time.

Sean Campbell (Leesburg High School)

Sean Campbell took the Lady Yellow Jackets program from last to first this season. The girls team only won a single game last season. This year they went 20-1 in the regular season.

Quez Porter (The Villages Charter High School)

Quez Porter became The Villages all-time winning head coaches for the girls program this season.

Cameron Ware (Umatilla High School)

Cameron Ware has led the Umatilla Lady Bulldogs to the best season in program history.

Vincent Brown (Wildwood Middle High School)

Has been to the state championship finals two years in a row. Looking to make that a third year in a row in 2024 and hopefully win it all this year.

Perry Petruccelli (MDCA)

Coach Petruccelli always guides his players on the right path both mentally and spiritually.

Donna Forrest (Lake Minneola High)

With a record of 52-18 since taking over this program 3 years ago coach Forrest is one of the best coaches in Lake County.
