Lake & Sumter Style All-County Girls Basketball Team Announced

Congratulations to all of these amazing young women who have earned a spot of the All-County High School Girls Basketball team for Lake & Sumter County.

Trinidy Harris (JR) Wildwood Middle High:

Averaging 17.2 points per game, has 51 assists this season.

Alana Seward (SR) Eustis High 

Averaged 19 points per game, and 4 rebounds.

Saige McCloud (SO) Leesburg High:

Averaging 20.2 points per game, led the team in rebounds.

Herva Brutus (SO) Umatilla High:

Averaged 14.6 points per game, 13.4 rebounds per game, led the team in assists with 83, blocks with 52, and steals with 145.

Zion McRae (JR) The Villages:

Averaged 23 points per game, led the team with 94 assists and 100 steals.

Patricia Casimir (JR) Lake Minneola:

Has scored 259 points this season, leading the team in rebounds with 265 total rebounds.

Hailey Hunt (SR) East Ridge:

Team leader in points scored, averages 12 points per game.

Mia Saunders (SR) Lake Minneola:

Averaging 14.8 points per game.

Evah Watterson (SR) The Villages 

Averaged 10.8 points per game, led team in 3 point shots made.

Ariyana Hester (JR) Leesburg High:

Leads the team in steals with 68, has 31 assists, and averaging 12 points per game.

Lauren Archer (SR) Umatilla High:

Averaged 8.8 points per game, has 113 rebounds and 56 assists this season.

Aliyah Perry (SR) Lake Minneola:

Averaged 14.8 points per game, 3 rebounds. Leads the team in assists with 76 and steals with 99.

Essiance Jasper (SR) Wildwood Middle High:

Averaging 9.4 points per game, leads the team in rebounds with a 6.6 average and 132 total on the year.

Aranya Alexander (FR) MDCA:

Averaging 8.3 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game.

Aniya Hester (SO) Leesburg High:

Averaging 10.6 points per game, leads the team in assists.

Natalie Doan (JR) MDCA:

Leads the team in steals with 75 and assists with 124. Averaging 7 points per game.

Jazmine Monroe (SO) South Lake High: 

Averaged 11.3 points per game.

Anyah Unelus (JR) South Lake High: 

Averaged 8.1 points per game and led team with 9 rebounds per game.

Zoey Brown (8th Grade) Wildwood Middle High:

Averaging 8.7 points per game, leads the team in steals with 92 total, leads the team in assists with 85 total.

Dakeria Brown (SO) Eustis High: 

Averaged 11 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Kaylin Cockefair – South Lake High: 

Averaged 10 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Molly Beliveau (SR) First Academy-Leesburg 

Averaged 6.6 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game.

Emalee Duncan (SR) Umatilla High

Averaged 8.8 points per game.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.

For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.

Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
