Congratulations to Lisa Bryant of Lake Minneola High School, who was named the Lake County Teacher of the Year on Thursday night. Lisa Bryant, an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher, was one of three finalists honored during the event. With 12 years of experience—five of which have been at Lake Minneola High School—Lisa has made a lasting impact on her students and colleagues. She leads a transition program for ESE students aged 18 to 22, helping them develop crucial life and vocational skills to navigate adulthood with confidence and independence. As co-chair of the ESE department, she continues to inspire both students and fellow educators with her expertise and dedication.

“Every day, Lisa approaches her work with unparalleled dedication, ensuring that her students not only receive quality education but are also equipped with the tools they need to thrive in life,” wrote Principal William Roberts in his recommendation letter. “What stands out most is her unwavering belief in the potential of every student she teaches, no matter the challenges they face.”

The celebratory evening was made possible thanks to the support of generous sponsors who helped highlight the important work of Lake County’s educators. Jenkins Auto Group provided Lisa Bryant with a 2025 Volkswagen Touaregas part of her Teacher of the Year award. Ernie Morris Enterprises, Inc./HON donated new office chairs to all the nominees and awarded Lisa with a classroom makeover to further enhance her students’ learning environment. Duke Energy also served as another valued presenting sponsor, contributing to the success of the event. The Lake County School District extended its gratitude to all the sponsors and business partners who played a role in making the evening so special and memorable for the nominees and their supporters.

As Lisa drives away in her new Volkswagen Touareg, the entire Lake County community congratulates her on this well-deserved honor and celebrates the continued success of all the teachers who were recognized.
