The Women’s Giving Alliance was founded in 2014 by a group of ten visionary women in Clermont who were passionate about making a difference in their community. Over the past ten years, the WGA has provided more than $265,000 in community grants, supporting 13 South Lake County nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping women and children. This impressive total excludes the grants anticipated for this year, further highlighting the WGA’s ongoing commitment to its mission.

The WGA has awarded grants to organizations such as LifeStream Behavioral Center, Milestone Counseling, Find, Feed & Restore, and others, focusing on critical needs like mental health services, housing for homeless women and children, and educational programs. Through collective philanthropic giving, the WGA has not only enhanced the quality of life for many South Lake residents but also potentially saved lives.

WGA members contribute $1,000 annually to support the alliance’s mission, with thirteen Legacy Members committing $25,000 each to ensure that the work of the WGA continues in perpetuity. As the WGA celebrates its 10th anniversary, the organization invites women who share their commitment to empowering and uplifting South Lake’s women and children to join the alliance.

This anniversary event is not just a celebration of past achievements but a call to action for the future. Join us in commemorating a decade of impact and in shaping the next chapter of the WGA’s work in our community.
