Construction continues at the new home of Marmaduke’s Lodge, which is slated to open next month in Downtown Leesburg. Crews have been busy working on the interior of the building. TVs are now in place, as is a bar with fixtures, and chairs and tables are beginning to be placed inside the new business.

Owned by Brian Caracciolo, Marmaduke’s Lodge will feature three sections – a bar, eatery and speakeasy.

“We expect to be able to open next month pending permitting and inspections,” Brian says.

In a report by Floridafoodandbeverage.com, Ross McWaters stated, “There will be three concepts located on the ground floor. The first concept is Marmaduke’s Lodge Brewing. The second will be Slice, which will serve pizza, and the third is the 1857 Room speakeasy. Access to 1857 will be granted through a secret passageway. The bar, in addition to serving your favorite cocktails, will feature a limited menu that reflects the classy speakeasy ambiance.”

They are currently hiring for all positions, with interviews happening March 11 – 15. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/lodgeleesburg.

Downtown Leesburg has been experiencing a significant comeback in recent years, with thriving businesses in the area. Successful businesses that have opened recently include McCrackens Irish Pub, The Sipping Garden, Prime 3 on Main Street, among others.

Look for their opening in late March or early April.
