Misty May-Treanor Attends Villages Volleyball Clinic!
Misty May-Treanor is one of the most well known beach volleyball players to have ever played the sport. The Olympic Gold Medalist was able to stop by The Villages for a clinic that The Buffalo Stampeders program was having. May-Treanor taught the group some of the tricks that made her so successful. It’s all a process of giving back to the community now that she’s retired from professional beach volleyball.
Many of the athletes were born after May-Treanor was at her peak but all players in attendance knew the greatness that stood in front of them. “It’s like if Tom Brady or Michael Jordan came to teach a camp, that is what Misty May-Treanor means to the world of Volleyball.
We hope the players all took something away from the event! The Villages will begin their Volleyball season in August. The team will also compete in the inaugural season of Beach Volleyball in the Spring of 2024. Hopefully the buffalo stampeder athletes took notes!
