Montverde Academy’s Michael Frasure Sets New School Golf Record

Michael Frasure recorded an amazing 30 (-6) to set what is believed to be a new Montverde Academy record for the best 9-hole score in school history, as the boys golf team defeated The First Academy 138–140 in a thriller at Bella Collina on Wednesday afternoon.
The win was the second in a row to start the season, as the Eagles are now 2–0 on the young season.
“Michael was really focused today like I have never seen him before,” says MVA head coach Neil Barnhill. “He was so determined to play well from his warm-up to the first few holes of play.”

(Michael Frasure shot a new school record for Boys golf with a -6 for Montverde Academy and was a big part of the team’s win against The First Academy.)
The 138 team score by the Eagles was MVA’s lowest total since their 138–159 win over The First Academy at Orange Tree Golf Course in Orlando on October 17, 2023.
“I’m very excited for the guys. We had several players who were playing at Bella Collina for the first time,” says Barnhill. “I really like the attitude and personality of this team.”
