Mount Dora Christian Academy’s Beckham Stirling Commits To Newberry College For Baseball

MOUNT DORA, Fla. — Beckham Stirling, an incoming senior at Mount Dora Christian Academy, has committed to Newberry College in South Carolina, to continue his academic and baseball career. Newberry College is an NCAA Division II Program.

Stirling showcased his talents on the mound and at the plate during the 2024 season. Pitching 23.2 innings, he surrendered only 15 hits and seven earned runs, boasting a 2.07 ERA. Stirling struck out 23 batters and finished the season with a 2-1 record, proving to be a formidable force for the Bulldogs. MDCA will look forward to having him back for the 2025 baseball season as he continues to develop.

Offensively, Stirling contributed last season with a .264 batting average, scoring 10 runs, collecting 14 hits, and driving in 12 RBIs. He also hit two home runs. Known for his versatility, Stirling excels as both a utility player and a right-handed pitcher. He can do a lot for a team and Newberry College is getting a great player.

Congratulations to Beckham Stirling his family, coaches, friends, teammates and everyone who has had an impact on this young man’s life to get him to where he is.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.

Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
