MOUNT DORA, Fla. — Mount Dora Christian Academy senior Madison Tweedie will be continuing both her academic and athletic journey at the University of Tampa, she announced this week.

A standout multi-sport athlete for MDCA, Tweedie excelled in both cross-country, soccer and track & field during her high school career. Her athleticism, leadership, and work ethic made her a cornerstone of the Bulldogs’ athletic program.

“I would like to thank my parents, coaches, and teammates for making this possible,” Tweedie said. “Most of all I would like to thank God for this opportunity to continue using my athletic talents. Can’t wait to see what the next four years bring. Go Spartans!”

Tweedie’s commitment to the Spartans marks a significant step in her athletic career. Known for her versatility and competitive drive, she’s expected to make an immediate impact at the NCAA Division II level.

This girl is just a hard worker all around. She is an amazing athlete and an even better person. I got to watch her win the soccer district championship this season and her leadership out on the pitch was amazing. She’s going to do great things for University of Tampa and beyond.
