Mount Dora High School’s rising star, Christina Vukel, has announced her commitment to Jacksonville University, where she will continue to develop her impressive music and academic career. Known for her extraordinary talent and inspiring journey, Christina has captivated audiences locally and online, making waves with her unique sound and heartfelt lyrics.

At just 15 years old, Christina Vukel burst onto the scene and she is already a notable figure in the music world. Now a high school graduate, Christina has garnered a massive following on Spotify. Her music is available on all major music platforms, her songs can also be enjoyed on her YouTube channel and at christinavukel.com.

“I started singing, rhyming, and experimenting with music when I was just 2 years old,” Christina reflects. “It’s something that’s always been a part of me.” A quiet and reserved honor student at Mount Dora High, Christina’s musical talents span guitar, piano, drums, and ukulele. Her music, inspired by the patterns and events around her, is known for its soothing yet soulful quality, resonating deeply with her listeners.

Christina’s local performances are always a joy. Having listened to her a few times, she is always entertaining even getting out and dancing with people while she sings. She has graced stages at prominent venues such as the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center, Hard Rock Café Orlando, The Orange Blossom Opry, the Breakfast Club Radio Show, and Lake Square Mall, where she was proudly featured on the marquee. Her passion for music extends beyond performance; she has also contributed to her community by teaching music through Shaping Hearts, a non-profit organization connected with Round Lake Elementary School.

We also congratulate her friends, family, teachers and everyone who have supported her to reach for her goals. Go Christina!
