Ocala Drive-In Hosts Free Movie Night As Part of Red Ribbon Week

The Ocala Drive-In will host a free movie night one week from today on Friday, Oct. 20, kicking off this year’s Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is Marion County’s annual initiative starting in October that promotes healthy living for children. The initiative encourages children to avoid drugs and alcohol.

The event will take place at the Ocala Drive-In. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m., and they will be showing the following movies:

(Screen number 1 located at Ocala Drive-In is pointed toward Highway 441. Its a great place to watch a movie under the open sky.)

Screen 1 – Hocus Pocus 2 and Elemental

Screen 2 – Haunted Mansion and The Little Mermaid (2023)

The Ocala Drive-In is located at 4850 S Pine Ave. in Ocala. We have been told that the event will also include ice cream provided by the Ocala Police Department’s Polar Patrol, snow cones, swag bags, bounce houses, market booths, games, giveaways and a first responders vehicle expo.

This is a free event and, while there is no registration, we recommend arriving early to participate in all the pre-show activities.

(The Ocala Drive-In at night features classic neon. It is such a gem to have a place like this around.)

Marion County is involved with a national Red Ribbon campaign that involves more than 100,000 schools and organizations.
