PGA Superstore in Lady Lake Hosts Grand Opening To Much Fanfare
The PGA Superstore in Lady Lake hosted its grand opening to much fanfare. The opening took place this past weekend, with Lady Lake Mayor Ed Freeman, Mayor Pro Tem Treva Roberts, and Commissioner Ed Regan in attendance.
The PGA Superstore was a big hit with local residents who got their first glimpse of the superstore. “It’s a great place. A lot of times, I would drive up to Ocala and go to Dick’s Sporting Goods and other places, but to have something like this in our backyard is fantastic. They have a wide range of apparel, clubs, and everyone’s so helpful,” said Megan H from Lady Lake.
The superstore gave out $30,000 in giveaways. The first person in line got a brand new set of free custom-fitted golf clubs. Some people were waiting days outside the facility for the grand opening. Now that the store is open and the facility is fully operational, they will look to have greater success than the businessthat came before, Earth Fare.
Earth Fare was open for just around a year before closing for good. Now by the time Earth Fare had opened they were just coming out of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and the Covid-19 Pandemic so there were reasons for it’s demise. The PGA Superstore heavily modified the inside of the store, and almost no trace of Earth Fare exists anymore other than the front facade of the building. The new store is a golfer’s dream come true. This place is like the Bass Pro Shops of the golfing world. We wish the best of luck to all the employees at the store. Congratulations on the grand opening.
