RoMac Building Supply Celebrates 80th Anniversary

RoMac Building Supply, a cornerstone of Central Florida’s construction industry, is proudly celebrating its 80th anniversary this week. Founded by H.D. “Buck” Robuck and his brothers shortly after World War II, the company began as a modest lumber yard in Green Cove Springs before relocating to East Main Street in Leesburg in 1946.
From its humble roots, RoMac has grown into one of the largest independent building material dealers in Florida. Still family-owned and operated by the Robuck family, the company’s deep local roots and commitment to service have guided its evolution over eight decades.

(RoMac provides jobs for so many in our community. They are still family owned and operated even after 80 years.)
Today, RoMac operates 13 businesses across five Central Florida locations. Leesburg, Mount Dora, The Villages, Wildwood, and Ocala offering a wide range of services including retail, contractor supply, design, distribution, installations, and custom manufacturing.
In Leesburg, RoMac runs the area’s only roof and floor truss plant, along with a custom door and moulding plant, providing premium, Florida Building Code Approved materials for both residential and commercial projects. These state-of-the-art facilities allow RoMac to manufacture products tailored to the specific needs of local builders, subcontractors, remodelers, and homeowners.

Beyond supplying building materials, RoMac takes pride in its strong ties to the community. With over 500 associates, the company continuously invests in the people and places it serves helping build not only homes and businesses, but also relationships that span generations. RoMac is also involved with Habitat for Hummanity homes and assists with many of those projects around our community every year.
As RoMac celebrates its 80th year, the company extends its gratitude to the Central Florida community for its continued support and looks ahead to the future with the same dedication and passion that have defined it since 1945.
