When the new Fruitland Park Elementary school opens its doors to students in August, the school will not be the only thing that’s new. According to Lake County Schools, Susan Jordan, a veteran educator with nearly 25 years of experience in Lake County Schools, has been named the new principal of Fruitland Park Elementary School.

Principal Jordan most recently served as principal at Leesburg Elementary School, where she replaced Heather Gelb following Gelb’s departure from the district. Prior to that, Jordan was the assistant principal at Eustis Middle School and also served earlier in her career as an assistant principal at Leesburg Elementary.

Jordan began her career with Lake County Schools in August 2000 and has held a variety of teaching and administrative positions. She earned her Master of Education degree from the University of Central Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida.

Kacy Wolfe, formerly the assistant principal at Aurelia M. Cole Academy, has been named as Jordan’s replacement at Leesburg Elementary.

Please join us in wishing Principal Susan Jordan the best of luck in her new role!
