Tavares High School Celebrates Boys Basketball Senior Night With Win
It was a wonderful evening at Tavares High School as the boys basketball team celebrated their senior night. Tavares High School is now on a three game winning streak as the boys were able to win the game 30-27 in a closely contested game against Mount Dora High.
The Bulldogs are on their longest win streak of the season at three games and cap things off tomorrow when they visit Orangewood Christian as the last regular season contest of the year.
The two seniors honored included Senior Nakosi Thomas and Nixen Nicholas Jr.
Thomas leads the team in average points with 7.4 per game while Nicholas Jr. leads the team in total rebounds with 7 per game. Tavares High will now look forward to the district playoffs where they will have to face either Lecanto, Leesburg or Vanguard most likely.
