TAVARES, Fla. — Tavares High School ace Emmersyn “Emmy” Lee has surpassed 330 career strikeouts in a dominant 18-0 win over Leesburg.

Lee, a senior, struck out six batters in the shutout to bring her season total to 107 and her career total to 332. Emmy been a consistent force for the Bulldogs, anchoring the team with her presence in the circle and proving nearly untouchable throughout the season. When this young lady is on she is on fire and it’s the reason she will be pitching collegiately at Lake-Sumter State College in 2026.

Through 83.2 innings pitched this year, Lee boasts a 2.09 ERA, having allowed only 25 earned runs. Her combination of control, movement, and velocity has kept opposing lineups guessing all season long and that’s something head coach Valarie Neu has been adament about.

Tavares’ defense backed Lee with a clean game behind her, and the bats came alive in support, pushing across 18 runs to seal the victory early. In fact Emmy Lee had one of her best performances of the year at the playe with 2 hits and 4 RBIs along with 4 runs scored. Emma Pattee scored 4 runs and also had 4 RBI’s off of 3 hits while Kayla Enix had an incredible 5 RBI’s 4 hits and scored2 runs.

(Emmy recently celebrated senior night. Tavares High is on a hot streak at the moment. They are looking the best they have coming down the home stretch of the regular season.)

With the postseason approaching, Lee’s performance has the Bulldogs believing they can make a deep run and contend for a distrct championship next week.

She gives Tavares a chance to win every single night she is on the mound and she’s looking as good as she has all season which is dangerous for opposing teams.
