Exciting changes will soon bring Bob’s Coins & Jewelry customers even more options and convenience. After 27 years in the same plaza, the third-generation business is moving into its own building this spring.

Along with their expansive inventory and trusted services, the new location will feature a much larger showroom, increased viewing opportunities and private buying rooms. It’s a win-win for both customers and the long-time family-owned and -operated business.

The store is moving just under three miles away to Heritage Hill Shoppes, a plaza in Summerfield, which is currently under construction. Unlike their current location, they own the new plaza, which includes nearly 12,000 square feet and will have four other spaces for lease.

The grand opening is expected on May 1, 2025.

“My father, Bob Irwin, started the store in 1998,” says Vickie Buxton, who manages the business and does much of the jewelry repair. Bryan, Vickie’s husband, and their children, Cameron Buxton and Emily Cornejo, also work for the family business.

Bob’s Coins & Jewelry is known for its large inventory of jewelry, coins and precious metals. If it pertains to jewelry, the store has it covered–from buying and selling, to repair, modification, appraisals and fabrication of custom pieces.

“We’re probably the largest repair store in the area and all repairs are done on premises,” says Vickie.

The coin department not only buys and sells collectibles, but also currency and bullion. Their expert team has the knowledge and experience to evaluate items, do appraisals for insurance purposes and offer fair buying prices.

“We also sell investment products like gold bullion, which is just like buying stock, but you have a tangible item in your hand,” says Vickie.

“Our new showroom will be about 4,500 square feet, which is much larger than our current one. Most walls are glass, so you can see the jewelers work. We’re adding a room where you can watch laser cutting and engraving be done,” she says.

“We’ll also have private buying rooms for anyone coming in with family heirlooms or estate items. This provides safety and a more comfortable atmosphere, so those conversations don’t take place at the counter with other shoppers around,” adds Vickie.

Until the store moves to their new plaza, come see them in their current location. Business tenants interested in renting space in their new plaza should call to inquire.
