Vernell Brown Jr. Becomes A Certified NFLPA Agent
Wildwood, Fla. — Vernell Brown Jr., a former Florida Gators football star and longtime supporter of Wildwood Middle High School athletics, has officially become a certified NFLPA (National Football League Players Association) agent. Brown, who grew up in Gainesville and made a name for himself with the Gators, now takes a significant step into the world of professional sports representation.
Brown’s certification as an NFLPA agent adds to his impressive resume, marking a new chapter in his post-playing career. Known for his leadership and tenacity on the football field, Brown played as a versatile cornerback and wide receiver for the Florida Gators from 2001 to 2005. His passion for the game and dedication to player development has been evident in his work with young athletes at Wildwood Middle High School, where he has been a mentor and advocate for student-athletes including his son Vernell Brown III who has committed to UF. His daughter is also a long jumper for the Track & Field team and she attend UF as well.
Growing up in Gainesville, Brown was immersed in football culture from an early age. After his collegiate playing days, he remained involved in the sport through coaching and mentoring roles. At UF he worked as the Senior Director of Student-Athlete Development and Alumni Relations. He also started his own company and is the CEO of EL1TE Sports Management Group. Now, as a certified NFLPA agent, Brown is poised to represent and guide NFL players. This is an awesome step for him and we are so excited about his future and what he will do in the coming years.
Brown’s is a beloved figure in Central Florida. From Gainesville to Sumter County and Orlando. He even has more to announce “After passing the NFLPA Contract Advisors exam as of October 1st, 2024 I will officially be an NFL Agent, Also!!! Stay tuned..” says Brown. Very exciting times indeed!
