Villages Charter Senior Maleek Williams Signs To Lindenwood University

THE VILLAGES, FL – Big congratulations to Villages Charter High School weightlifter Maleek Williams, who has signed his commitment to continue his career at Lindenwood University. Williams, a dominant force in high school weightlifting, adds to the growing list of local lifters advancing to the next level.
Williams, who also played running back for the Buffalo football team, has been a standout in the weightlifting scene, showcasing strength and determination that have set him apart. His commitment to Lindenwood marks another major step for the area’s top lifters.
He follows in the footsteps of recent Lindenwood signees Bobby Hill and Tristan Segrest, both from South Sumter High School, who have already found success at the collegiate level. Additionally, Tavares High School alum Trey Hanson is excelling in his sophomore season at Brewton-Parker College in Georgia.
With more local athletes making their mark on college weightlifting programs, the sport continues to grow in Central Florida. Williams thanked his family, his coaches and everyone who helped him make it to this level. Congratulations to Maleek Williams! We wish him nothing but success!
