Villages High Quarterback Jadence Kennedy Named Student-Athlete of the Week

The Villages High School quarterback Jadence Kennedy delivered a near-flawless performance Friday night, throwing six touchdown passes and even catching one in a 72-0 rout of Citrus High School, earning him Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
Jadence completed all nine of his pass attempts for 192 yards, posting a quarterback rating of 177.1. The junior also showcased his versatility, hauling in a 22-yard touchdown pass from teammate Kevonte Corbin, who led The Villages with 55 rushing yards and added a score on the ground.
Jadence has been locked in since the start of the season. He’s making smart reads, spreading the ball around, and showing great leadership for this team. He has a fantastic group around him that head coach Richard Pettus and his team have built this season and all that off season hard work is paying off.

Jadence’s six touchdown passes were spread among Brady Hunt, Omari Hill, Antwon Johnson and Ja’Marion Clark, keeping Citrus off balance from start to finish.
Through four games this season, Jadence has thrown for 786 yards and 15 total touchdowns, completing 41 of 66 passes. He’s averaging more than 17 yards per completion with a season quarterback rating of 153.9, guiding The Villages to a 4-0 start.
The Buffalo will look to extend their unbeaten streak this weekend when they face Tavares High School a team they lost to at home last year 22-0.
