Villages High School quarterback Patrick Harding has decided to transfer to Zephyrhills for his senior year. Harding has been the starting quarterback for The Villages Charter High School the past few seasons sharing duties with upcoming junior quarterback Jadence Kennedy. Harding actually played against Zephyrhills in the spring football game just a few weeks ago.

“After much prayer & consideration, I’ve decided to transfer to Zephyrhills High School for my senior year. I’m very grateful to all the coaces, teachers & teammates at The Villages Charter High who have helped me grow through the years. Looking forward to great things this season!” says Harding.

Harding has thrown for 1,814 yards over his career at The Villages. Harding had 16 touchdowns and 150 completions. He is the younger brother of Jonathan Harding who committed to Memphis last year and will play as a tight end. Jonathan Harding was one of nineteen seniors that The Villages lost to graduation this year.

Harding joins a strong looking Zephyrhills Bulldogs program that will certainly benefit from Harding. Harding will get to hand the ball off to Roe Miller one of the most explosive and exciting running backs in Central Florida. Harding will also get to throw to junior Kingston McCullough who is due for a breakout year along with junior wide receiver Saniiyn Black. The big thing the Bulldogs needed was a quarterback. Harding has improved a lot the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, The Villages have a strong quarterback Jadence Kennedy who will be coming into his junior year. Kennedy brings mobility to the pocket and strong arm. Villages head coach Richard Pettus has been in this position before and there are some strong key pieces that will be returning for coach Pettus who has put an emphasis on his team getting in the weight room this summer and coming out of the gate strong in 2025. Kennedy will also get a good returning cast of wide receivers to throw to including Jayden Danforth and Omari Hill among others.

Best of luck to Patrick Harding and Zephyrhills along with The Villages as they prepare for the 2025 football season.
