Villages High School Graduate Anthony Karoly Drafted By Seattle Mariners

Congratulations to Anthony Karoly, a 2022 graduate of The Villages High School who was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 17th round of the MLB Draft on Monday.

(Anthony played for The Villages and then for Nova Southeastern University.)
Karoly played a key role in leading The Villages to the state semifinals during his senior season, earning recognition as one of the program’s top performers. Following high school, he continued his baseball career at Nova Southeastern University, where he developed into a standout at the collegiate level.
With his selection, Karoly becomes the third player in The Villages High School history to be drafted by a Major League Baseball organization, joining former Buffaloes Jack Perkins and Shawn Guilliams.
Congratulations to Anthony Karoly and we wish him the best of luck in the MLB!
