Torin Foley is off to a huge start to the 2024 high school baseball season. #7 has been a ton of fun to watch. He is one of the best all-around players in Lake & Sumter County, and scouts should certainly have their eye on this kid.

Foley currently has a .333 average through 10 games played this season. He leads the team with 10 runs scored. Foley also has 9 hits, 8 RBIs, 1 double, 2 triples, and a home run. He also leads the team in steals with 7 stolen bases so far in 2024.

(Foley is slashing a .333 average through 10 games. He has scored 10 runs for The Villages so far this season which leads the team. He also leads the team in steals.)

Torin Foley is lean and athletic. At 5’11” and 175 lbs, this kid is fast. He has certainly been one of the standout athletes at The Villages Charter School this season. Foley is ranked as the #5 player in all of Class 4A District 5 in runs scored this season. He is also ranked 4th in his class for total steals.

(Foley celebrates with The Villages after a recent game against South Sumter where he would score a pivotal run to put The Villages up on top. The run would eventually win the game for The Villages.)

Foley is just a junior, and he has the entire summer for travel ball to continue to hone his skills. But this is one particular player who has really impressed us this year and is one to look out for. He has a high baseball IQ, is a versatile player who plays infield, 3rd base, outfield, and even catcher. He is a multi-talented player and one of the best all-around junior baseball players in Lake & Sumter County.

(Foley can play a wide range of positions which makes him an attractive player. His batting skills have been on full display this year as well.)

While there is plenty of work to do, this is one player we certainly have our eye on as the season continues. We look forward to seeing how Foley continues to develop as a player as the year moves along.
