MOUNT DORA, Fla. — Whitney Frazier, a Literacy Coach at Sorrento Elementary School, has been appointed as Mount Dora High School’s newest Assistant Principal, bringing her wealth of experience and positive energy to a new chapter in her career.

Frazier has spent several years making a lasting impact at Sorrento Elementary, most recently serving as the school’s Literacy Coach for the past four years. In that role, she worked tirelessly to enhance students’ literacy skills, helped children develop their speech, and fostered a love for learning across the campus. Known for her outstanding teaching abilities and uplifting attitude, Frazier earned the admiration of colleagues, students, and families for her friendly personality.

Mrs. Frazier’s dedication to the students at Sorrento Elementary and her passion for education have been an inspiration. While the school will miss her greatly, we are excited to see her thrive in this new role at Mount Dora High School.

As Frazier transitions to the high school setting, the Sorrento Elementary community is sending her off with heartfelt wishes, emphasizing that she will always remain a cherished member of their school family. Faculty, staff, and students fondly reiterated their school motto: “One Pack, One Team. You will always be part of the Sorrento Elementary School family.”

At Mount Dora High School, Frazier is expected to bring the same commitment to excellence and student success that defined her time at Sorrento Elementary. She will work alongside Mount Dora High School Principal Kyle Bracewell who took over as the school principal earlier this year when Marlene Straughan was promoted to Regional Executive Director for Lake County Region 1.
