Wildwood Middle High School Girls Flag Football Team Clinch Spot in FHSAA Regional Final

WILDWOOD, FL – The Wildwood Middle High School lady wildcats put on a clinic in the FHSAA Class 1A Regional Semifinal against Dunedin. Wildwood now improves to 11-0 on the season. These girls are now preparing for the FHSAA Regional Final on Thursday night at Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Wildwood at 7pm.
Wildwood will await the winner of Keswick Christian and Tampa Catholic tomorrow at 3:30pm.

Worth noting that the game on Thursday will be the final ever home game for the Wildwood football program on a natural grass surface as the current football field is being converted to artificial turf.
Freshman Zoey Brown has been outstanding this season. She has over 40 touchdowns and has thrown for over 1,500 yards. Brown has over 2,000 total yards of offense as well. She has been outstanding. Senior Trinidy Harris has come up big in her final high school sports season. Not only did Harris lead the Lady Wildcats to a state title in basketball but has also contributed heavily to the flag football team. She has not lost a game her senior year as of yet which is incredible in it’s own right.

(Wildwood will look to punch their ticket to Tampa for the state finals on Thursday evening at 7pm. The game will be played at Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Wildwood.)
Harris has caught 26 receptions for 368 yards of offense and has 10 offensive touchdowns. The lady wildcats have combine to outscore opponents 177-0 in the last four games. Just an insane number and these girls are certainly a favorite to win the state championship this season. Brown has been nightmare for defenses including 9 interceptions this year. Trinidy Harris also has 6 interceptions. In total Wildwood has 23 total interceptions.
One final home game remains for the Lady Wildcats. If they win they will compete in the State Final Four at AdventHealth Training Center in Tampa where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the host. Wildwood is currently nationally ranked as the #11 team in the country and #11 team in the state of Florida. They are also ranked as the #1 team in Florida Class 1A.
Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
