Wildwood Middle High Senior Trinidy Harris Commits to St. Pete College

WILDWOOD, FL. — Wildwood Middle High School senior Trinidy Harris is taking her talents to the next level. The standout guard, who led the Wildcats to a perfect 25-0 season and a Florida Class Rural State Championship, has officially committed to play basketball at St. Petersburg College. Harris capped off a decorated high school career by being named the 2025 Florida Dairy Farmers Rural Player of the Year.
For Harris, ending her senior year as a state champion was more than a dream — it was a promise.
“That was something I said we were going to do at the beginning of the season — go out as a champion,” Harris said. “And my team and I backed it up.”
She certainly did. Harris averaged 19.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and tallied 460 points in her final season. Over her varsity career, she amassed an impressive 1,778 points, 379 rebounds, 261 assists, and 410 steals. Her impact was felt on both ends of the floor, and her leadership helped elevate Wildwood into one of the state’s premier Rural FHSAA programs in the state. Wildwood Middle High has a long history of great basketball teams through the years. This team was the first in history to finish undefeated.

(It was always Trinidy Harris’s dream to win an FHSAA State Championship. She had been to the FHSAA Finals twice in her career and lost both times. She went out as a champion her senior year.)
“Trinidy has meant everything to us,” says Coach Vincent Brown. “Her growth as a player and an individual is something I am so proud about. She brings out the best in everyone and is a shining example to kids who need someone to look up to.”
A fierce competitor and gifted scorer, Harris leaves behind a legacy of excellence, toughness, and championship mentality — one that will undoubtedly inspire future generations of Wildcats. At St. Pete College, she’ll look to continue her growth on and off the court while representing Wildwood with pride.

(Trinidy will no doubt have an impact with the St. Pete Titans. We wish her the very best.)
“She’s just getting started,” Brown said. “The best is yet to come.”
Congratulations to Trinidy Harris, her family, coaches, friends, teammates and everyone who has helped get her to this point! Go Trinidy!
