2026 Lake County Primary Election Results

Lake County voters were backing familiar names in several closely watched local races Tuesday night as unofficial primary election results continued to roll in.
As of 7:30 pm, 89 of Lake County’s 92 precincts were reporting, with 68,206 ballots cast among 278,944 registered voters for a turnout of 24.45%. Early voting was completely reported, while Election Day and vote-by-mail totals remained partially reported.

Sean M. Parks
In the Republican primary for Lake County Commission District 2, Sean M. Parks held a commanding lead over Humberto Liriano with 33,539 votes, or 86.27%, compared with Liriano’s 5,337 votes, or 13.73%.

Leslie Campione
In County Commission District 4, Leslie Campione led David Williamson with 24,444 votes, or 61.90%, to Williamson’s 15,048 votes, or 38.10%.

Pat Kelley
The Lake County School Board District 1 race showed Pat Kelley ahead with 34,994 votes, or 58.56%, while Eric Schwalbach had 24,764 votes, or 41.44%.
Nicole M. Morris also held a sizable Lake County advantage over Lisa Yeager in the nonpartisan Fifth Judicial Circuit Judge Group 27 race. Morris had 34,772 votes, or 58.25%, compared with Yeager’s 24,927 votes, or 41.75%.

In Groveland, where all six participating precincts were reporting, Keith “Chef” Keogh received 1,872 votes, or 70.72%, in the mayoral race. Judith Fike received 439 votes, or 16.58%, and Dina Sweatt received 336 votes, or 12.69%.

Daniel Webster and Carey Baker
In the Republican primary for U.S. House District 11, Lake County Property Appraiser Carey Baker led the Lake County portion of the race with 11,338 votes, or 41.28%.
Joe Strada followed with 8,822 votes, or 32.12%, while Tim Wilkins had 5,539 votes, or 20.17%. Nizam Razack received 4.48% and Ivette Palomo received 1.94%.
Because Congressional District 11 extends beyond Lake County, the Lake County totals alone do not determine the nominee.

James Pericola
On the Democratic side, James Pericola led the Lake County vote in Congressional District 11 with 6,231 votes, or 46.63%. Dan Williams had 3,616 votes, or 27.06%, and Royal Webster had 3,516 votes, or 26.31%.
In U.S. House District 6, Randy Fine received 51.96% of the Republican vote in the Lake County portion of the district with all 30 participating precincts reporting.

Byron Donalds
In the Republican primary for governor, Byron Donalds led Lake County with 19,079 votes, or 45.33%, followed by Jay Collins with 12,173 votes, or 28.92%.
On the Democratic side, David Jolly received 59.27% of the Lake County vote.

Ashley Moody
Ashley Moody held a wide lead in the Republican U.S. Senate primary with 33,524 votes, or 81.25%.
The Democratic Senate primary was much closer. Angie Nixon led Alex Vindman by 408 votes, 9,731 to 9,323, or 51.07% to 48.93%.

Taylor Yarkosky
In the Republican State House District 25 primary, Taylor Yarkosky led Tom Vail with 9,426 votes, or 56.56%, compared with Vail’s 7,240 votes, or 43.44%, with 39 of 40 participating precincts reporting.
Other Lake County races showed Ricky Harper leading Ron Wingerter in the Republican primary for North Lake Hospital District NW Seat 4, 69.65% to 30.35%, while Reginald A. Ward led Latoya Young in the Democratic contest for North Lake Hospital District NE Seat 2, 56.98% to 43.02%.
All results remain unofficial while election officials complete the count.
