Occupation: Project manager for Firehawk Helicopters and City Commissioner for City of Leesburg

What I do: For Firehawk Helicopters, I oversee company projects and assist the team in daily operations. For the City of Leesburg, I work with the commission and city staff to adopt local laws and ordinances, establish policies and work to manage the growth of our city.

My journey: Ever since I was very young, I’ve had a passion for aviation. The day I turned 18, I began my career at Firehawk Helicopters and have loved every minute of it. As for my job as city commissioner, I grew up in Leesburg and have always loved it here. I want to do whatever I can to help around my hometown. I didn’t win my first election, but I stuck with it, even when people doubted me. I never gave up!

My dual passions: Simply put, I love both jobs and it never feels like work. 

Proudest moment so far: Being elected as Leesburg City Commissioner.

Words of wisdom: Never give up and be sure to always surround yourself with friends and family who are encouraging but also those who aren’t afraid to give you the hard truth.

Outside the helipad: I like to spend time with my nieces and nephews and hanging out with my friends.

Life after 40: I see myself being in or around aviation and continuing to be involved in my community.
