40 Under 40: Alexis Villarreal

My legacy: I hope to inspire others, especially young women, to know they can create a life and business that reflects both their heart and their ambition. I want my work to show that empathy, transparency and success can coexist.
Fun fact: I’m a proud dog mom to a 65-lb. American terrier named Bubbles, who goes just about everywhere with me — from the office to cross-country road trips.
What drives me: Knowing that I’m helping people take control of their financial futures and feel more peace in their lives motivates me every day. Each client I work with is a reminder that what I do makes a real difference.
At just 25, Alexis Villarreal has built a career defined by empathy and leadership. As chief operating officer and financial planner at Capstone Wealth, she’s helping clients take control of their financial futures while proving that integrity and success go hand-in-hand.
“Helping start my mother’s business at a young age was a defining moment that pushed me far outside my comfort zone,” Alexis says. “It taught me perseverance, confidence and the importance of believing in myself even when things felt uncertain. That experience shaped not just how I work, but how I approach life.”
That early experience also gave Alexis a unique understanding of what it means to lead through challenges.
“Helping start my mother’s own financial planning business at a young age came with its share of challenges and self-doubt,” she says. “Learning to trust my instincts, staying disciplined, and leading with authenticity has made me stronger and more empathetic toward others who are on similar paths.”
Now, as a young leader in the financial industry, Alexis hopes her work inspires others to build meaningful careers on their own terms.

When asked how she hopes to be remembered, Alexis says, “I genuinely cared about my clients and helped them make confident, informed decisions that improved their lives, that I led with integrity and made complex things feel simple and achievable.”
Her motivation comes from the impact she makes every day.

At all times, Alexis leads with purpose, blending professionalism with compassion and showing that the best kind of success is measured in the lives you help improve.
