Christian Peralta, 30

Occupation: Family Law Attorney and Managing Partner of Peralta and Dvoran P.A., Tavares.

What I do: I handle dissolution of marriage actions, paternity matters, modification actions, adoptions and injunctions from start to finish. In addition to litigating family law cases, I, along with my business partner, Kaitlyn, manage the day-to-day operations of our business.

My journey: From an early age, I knew that I wanted to be a family law attorney because I grew up in an unconventional household, being raised by my aunt. I attended the University of Florida for both my undergraduate and law degrees (Go Gators!).  

Why the law is my passion: Nothing feels better than winning a hearing and/or a trial for a client and their family. I also enjoy navigating clients through one of the most difficult times of their lives and solving complex legal issues.

Notable achievement: It would most definitely be opening my own practice last year with my business partner, Kaitlyn. It was a big decision that could affect us and our families, but it was one of the best decisions we could have ever made, and we have no regrets.

Words of wisdom: Work hard for what you are passionate about — it’s not the smartest people who achieve great things, but the most dedicated.

Outside the office: I love spending time with my husband, Bryan, and our two young children, Elijah and Sofia. We’re often out at the park or spending time with other immediate family members who live in the area.

Life after 40: I see a thriving family law practice and being one of the best family law attorneys in Lake County!
