Duke the Duck, the world’s largest rubber duck, made its grand appearance as part of Georgefest 2025. Standing more than six stories tall and weighing over 11 tons, Duke has become the must-see attraction of this year’s Georgefest celebration, drawing crowds from across the region for a unique photo opportunity and family-friendly fun.

The massive rubber duck, displayed in Ferran Park, serves as the centerpiece of the festival’s “Out of This World” theme. Festivalgoers lined up throughout the day to snap pictures with the iconic duck, creating lasting memories of the weeklong celebration.

“Duke the Duck is a fantastic addition to this year’s Georgefest, and we are excited to share this fun, family-friendly experience with everyone,” said Mayor Hawkins. “We are grateful to our partners, including Duke Energy, for helping bring this out-of-this-world display to our community.”

Thanks to Duke Energy, the event’s sponsor, the giant rubber duck is on display through Saturday, February 22, giving visitors plenty of time to experience this larger-than-life attraction alongside the festival’s carnival rides, live entertainment, and more.

The presence of Duke the Duck has become a highlight of Georgefest 2025, a festival known as the longest-running George Washington’s Birthday celebration in the United States
