7-Eleven Opens in Fruitland Park to Great Fanfare!
It was a long time coming. That seemed to be the consensus among many in attendance of the Grand-Opening of 7-Eleven in Fruitland Park. The location had a ton of setbacks that prevented it from opening. But finally things wrapped up and the gas station and convenience store opened their doors on June 29th, 2023. This is a big edition to this location of Hwy 27/441.
This area will be very busy in the coming years. There are plans for a Publix in the area and some housing as well. As the expansion happens. This particular location will be in the middle of it all. For Fruitland Park it was a great day. It’s always a positive thing when you have businesses opening especially one with a record like 7-Eleven. The company continues to open a bunch of gas station and convenience stores in our area.
In late July there is another location set to open in the new section of The Villages. 7-Eleven Franchisee Matthew Weisinger was all smiles as he beamed proudly at his new location opening. Weisinger also owns a location in Leesburg. Weisinger was excited about the future of the Fruitland Park community and said “If you have hard work ethic you can make it anywhere.” Weisinger knows a thing or two about hard work. It wasn’t uncommon for him to work 120 days in a row without a break.
All of that hard work is paying off as his second franchisee location looked absolutely marvelous. The interior is stocked with supply and beautifully lit. The interior of the convenience store makes use of natural skylights that let light in. Unlike 7-Eleven locations of the past with fixed roofs, this roof lets plenty of sunshine in which brightens up the facility.
It’s a big accomplishment getting this location opened. We are excited that it has brought jobs to this area. We are especially excited for Fruitland Park and the continued growth that the city is seeing. Congratulations to all the employees and staff.
