Record Number of Dogs Puts Lake Shelter Over Capacity, Community Urged to Adopt
The Lake County Animal Shelter is experiencing an influx of dogs, with over 100 new arrivals in the past two weeks, pushing the total number of dogs in their care to over 200.
The shelter anticipates even more arrivals, marking the highest census since the week following Hurricane Irma in 2017. The shelter currently has a wide range of dogs available for adoption, from playful puppies to gentle seniors.
The community’s support is urgently needed to provide these animals with loving homes and necessary care.
