TASTE BUD BLISS 

The Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce Taste of Lake & Business Expo was held at the Venetian Center on Friday, March 1 from 6 to 10pm. The lively event featured local restaurants, bars and organizations and visitors enjoyed multiple samples of culinary delights and free goodies from local businesses. Sponsors included: Mathias Foodservice Equipment Company, Advent Health, Jenkins Auto Group, Orange Blossom Opry, RoMac Building Supply and Akers Media Group. Winners by audience participation were: Best Appetizer: The Sipping Garden & Bistro; Best Entrée: McCracken’s Irish Pub; Best Dessert: Nothing Bundt Cakes; Best Craft Beer/Wine: Two Old Hags Wine Shoppe; Best Beverage: Lake Port Square; People’s Choice: Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille; Best Decorated Booth: Bases Loaded Consulting and SouthState Bank. Live music was provided by Pete & The Invisible Band.
