Wildwood Elementary Principal Brittany Brown Leads School from ‘C’ to ‘A’ in First Year
Principal Brittany Brown along with her incredible group of faculty have made significant strides at Wildwood Elementary School. Principal Brown went from the classroom to assistant principal to principal at Wildwood Elementary. In doing so she elevated the program to new heights.
Principal Brown is a proud graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family, Youth, and Community Science. She attained her Educational Leadership degree from Saint Leo University in 2018. Before moving to Sumter County, she spent five years in Alachua County serving in different capacities. Principal Brown’s ability to inspire and engage her students did not go unnoticed, leading to her nomination as a Florida Teacher of the Year finalist.
Brittany has worked with Wildwood Elementary School for six years in various roles. Eventually she transitioned into an administrative role, becoming an Assistant Principal. Her leadership skills, coupled with her deep understanding of student needs and effective teaching strategies, made her a great fit for Wildwood Elementary School.
Brittany’s dedication and leadership abilities soon earned her the position of Principal. In her first year as Principal, she faced the formidable challenge of improving the school’s academic performance. Under her guidance, Wildwood Elementary School saw a dramatic transformation, moving from a “C” grade to an “A” grade. This achievement is a testament to her strategic vision, innovative approach, and tireless work ethic.
Brittany’s husband Vincent Brown Sr. who coached football for Wildwood Middle High School, proudly compares her to the legends of basketball, calling her the Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James of education. “Our school motto is “Walking with Excellence and Success”, and I am so thankful to be able to join in this walk with our amazing students, staff, families, and community partners.” says Principal Brown.
As Principal Brown continues to inspire and lead, there is no doubt that Wildwood Elementary School will continue to shine bright. Taking the program from a C grade to an A grade is something we can all celebrate. Being a father of two young girls, our children and youth are the most important things we can focus our efforts upon. They are the future leaders of our community, state and nation. Please join us in congratulating Principal Brittany Brown and her amazing staff on this terrific accomplishment!
