Lake County Principal Wins the 2024 Mirror Ball Trophy at Stepping Out for Education
Dr. Terri Pfister Soos emerged victorious at the 2024 Stepping Out for Education dance competition, taking home the coveted Mirror Ball trophy. The event, held at the Venetian Center over the weekend, featured six local celebrities competing in a ballroom dance showdown, all in support of Lake County Schools.
The festivities began with an encore performance by the 2023 Mirror Ball winner, Lindsey Blaise, choreographed by creative director, Eddie Rivera. This year’s theme was Wild Wild West.
Celebrity Dancer Line-Up:

- Dr. Terri Pfister Soos, Principal at Seminole Springs Elementary
- Lydialice Rodriguez, Practice Administrator, Advanced Behavioral Health Center
- Dr. Maen Hussein, MD, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
- James Justin Lenhart, Family Nurse Practitioner, Rivers Family Medicine
- Captain Michael Marden, Lake County Sheriff’s Office
Friday Night Highlights: The awards night kicked off with an exhilarating performance by our talented participants. The top honors went to:
- Top Male Dancer: Dr. Maen Hussein
- Top Female Dancer: Jessica Giannini
- Audience Choice Award: Dr. Terri Pfister Soos
Saturday Night Highlights: The excitement continued on Saturday night, with our dancers bringing their best moves. The awards for the evening were:
- Influencer Award: Jessica Giannini
- Top Male Dancer: Dr. Maen Hussein
- Top Female Dancer: Dr. Terri Pfister Soos
- Audience Choice Award: Dr. Terri Pfister Soos
Each celebrity, paired with a professional dancer, competed in classic ballroom styles followed by a freestyle Western-themed dance. The competition was fierce, but it was Dr. Terri Pfister Soos who ultimately captured the hearts of the audience and judges, securing the title of 2024 Mirror Ball Champion.

Originally from the small town of Berryville, Arkansas, Cindy has become a multimedia specialist in journalism, photography, videography, and video editing. She has a B.S. in Communications from the University of Central Arkansas and produces Style Magazine's Sports Hub Podcast and the Healthy Living Podcast.
