City of Eustis Wins Awards at Annual Events Association Convention
The City of Eustis received a number of awards recently at the Florida Festivals & Events Association (FFEA) 30th annual convention and tradeshow. The SUNsational Awards recognize members’ innovation, individuality and creative collaboration.
The City of Eustis Events & Tourism team received First Place, Promotional Poster for First Fridays; Third Place, Banners and Third Place, T-Shirt for Salute To Veterans; and six awards for the 122nd annual Georgefest event, including First Place, Tickets & Invitations; Second Place, Photo Op Area, T-Shirt, and Promotional Item; and Third Place, Radio Ad and Banners.
“The City has a terrific Events team and we are very proud of them all,” said City Manager Tom Carrino. “With 27 events annually, the team stays very busy but they put the time in to ensure that each and every event is special for our residents. This is a great recognition for all of their hard work.”
According to FFEA, nominations were accepted in ten categories and more than 200 events submitted materials for consideration. A blue- ribbon panel representing media outlets, printing companies, website designers, photographers, promotional marketing professionals and social media experts judged the nominations.
“The SUNsational Awards have recognized and celebrated the talents of our members for more than two decades,” said Suzanne Neve, CEO of the FFEA. “We’re proud of our members and their events – and excited to recognize them in this way each year. This year in particular was incredibly rewarding as we showcased the innovation and resilience of festival and event organizers throughout the state during this unprecedented time.”
