Congratulations to 10-year-old Bella Carter from Eustis who soared to victory at the 2024 World Wakeboarding Championships, taking home first place in the Junior Girls Division. The competition, held in Australia, brought together some of the most talented young wakeboarders from across the globe, but Bella’s hard work and dedication propelled her to the top.

(Bella stands on the top of the podium with father Cade Carter left and Madeline Zayas Carter right.)

Bella’s mother, Madeline Zayas Carter, expressed her overwhelming gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to those who supported, followed, and cheered her on from all the way back home.” The Carter family, well-known in the local community as the owners of Carter’s Ace Hardware locations in Lake County, have long been a pillar of support for Bella’s athletic ambitions.

(The family had a lot to celebrate. Bella has been working so hard at this. She was the only American to finish in the top 4.)

Bella’s success didn’t come overnight. She has been training tirelessly for years, honing her skills on the water and balancing her passion for wakeboarding with school and family life. Her win is a testament to the determination and perseverance she’s shown at such a young age. She’s going to be something to watch in the coming years and we certainly hope that Wakeboarding is added as an IOC Olympic sport in the coming years.

(Final results of the WWA Championships for the Jr. Girls with Bella Carter at the top.)

With the support of her family, friends, and the Eustis community behind her, Bella Carter is sure to continue making waves in the wakeboarding world. Congratulations, Bella—way to go!
