THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Isabella “Izzy” Martelli, a senior at The Villages Charter High School, is making a name for herself both on and off the volleyball court. The standout athlete, who has been playing volleyball for seven years in both school and club leagues, has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious Scholar Athlete Award for her achievements in both indoor and beach volleyball.

(Martelli co-founded a non-profit organization that supported victims of the devastating wildfires in Maui.)

With a 4.3 GPA, Martelli is not only a powerhouse on the court but also in the classroom. She is on the Honor Roll, enrolled in Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement (AP) classes, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence. Her hard work and dedication have made her a role model for her peers, especially as she balances her athletic commitments with rigorous studies.

Martelli’s impact extends beyond sports and academics. She co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the victims of the devastating wildfires in Maui, showing her compassion for communities in need. Additionally, she volunteers her time at a local assisted living facility, further showcasing her commitment to service.

With her eyes on the future, Martelli is considering two prestigious universities, Florida State University and Stanford, where she plans to study psychology. Her goal is to become a forensic psychologist, using her passion for understanding the human mind to contribute to the field of criminal justice.

Supported by her parents, Joey Martelli and Tarsis Rich, as well as her sister Anabella, Izzy Martelli continues to exemplify leadership, service, and athletic excellence, leaving a lasting legacy at The Villages Charter High School. We certainly wish her the best of luck with the remainder of her senior year! What an awesome student-athlete!
